Omar Strong
Omar Strong Sr. (born May 16, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Windsor Express of the NBL Canada. In 2012–13, he was a senior at Texas Southern University and was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Early life Strong was born on May 16, 1990 and brought up in Baltimore, Maryland. High school career Strong attended Fredrick Douglass High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Playing the point guard position, he averaged 22 points, four assists and three steals per game as a senior in 2007–08. That year Frederick Douglass won the Baltimore city title. 2011–12 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils basketball team represented Mississippi Valley State University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Delta Devils, led by fourth year head coach Sean Woods, played their home games at Harrison HPER Complex and are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Delta Devils finished the season 21–13, 17–1 in SWAC play to be crowned SWAC regular season champions. Mid-major is a term used in American NCAA Division I college sports, particularly men's basketball, to refer to athletic conferences that are not among the "Power Five conferences" (the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC), which are alternatively referred to as "high majors".
