Omar Brown (defensive Back, Born 1975)
Omar Lamont Brown (born March 28, 1975) is a former American football defensive back who played two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended William Penn High School in York, Pennsylvania. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. The XFL was a professional American football league that played its only season in 2001. The XFL was operated as a joint venture between the WWE, World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and NBC. The XFL was conceived as an outdoor football league that would begin play immediately after the National Football League season ended, to take advantage of the perceived lingering public desire to watch football after the NFL and college football seasons conclude.
