Omar Borrás
Omar Bienvenido Borrás Granda (15 June 1929 – 19 October 2022) was a Uruguayan football manager. Career Borrás was assistant manager to Ondino Viera while Uruguay national team played the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England. As manager of Montevideo Wanderers he achieved qualification to the 1975 Copa Libertadores. He first managed the Uruguay in 1977 on an interim basis. Borrás was appointed Uruguay national team manager for a second time in 1982. He guided Uruguay to their victory at the 1983 Copa América. He was also the coach of Uruguay at the 1986 FIFA World Cup. During that tournament, he was banned from the sidelines for their second round match against Argentina due to Uruguay's rough play for their previous game against Scotland, and also his remarks towards the referee after the match. Montevideo () is the Capital city, capital and List of cities in Uruguay, largest city of Uruguay. Group Of Death
A group of death in a multi-stage tournament is a group which is unusually competitive, because the number of strong competitors in the group is greater than the number of qualifying places available for the next phase of the tournament. Thus, in the group phase, one or more strong competitors in the "group of death" will necessarily be eliminated, who would otherwise have been expected to progress further in the tournament. The informal term was first used for groups in the FIFA World Cup finals. It is now also used in other association football tournaments and other sports. After the draw for a tournament has been made, debates often arise about which of the preliminary groups is "the" group of death. This happens for multiple reasons: in part, from more general debates about the relative strengths of the various competitors; but, additionally, because there is no exact definition of the term "group of death".
