Mount Olympus (; el, Όλυμπος, Ólympos, also , ) is the highest mountain in Greece. It is part of the Olympus massif near the Thermaic Gulf of the Aegean Sea, located in the Olympus Range on the border between Thessaly and Macedonia, between the regional units of Larissa and Pieria, about southwest from Thessaloniki. Mount Olympus has 52 peaks and deep gorges. The highest peak, Mytikas (Μύτικας ''Mýtikas''), meaning "nose", rises to . It is one of the highest peaks in Europe in terms of topographic prominence. Olympos, Karpathos
Olympos ( el, Όλυμπος) is a village and a former self-governing community on the island of Karpathos, in the Dodecanese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Karpathos, of which it is a municipal unit. It is located in the northern part of the island. Population 556 (2011). The total land area of the community is 104.876 km². History In antiquity in this place there was the Doric city Vrykous or Vrycous. Vrykous was one of the three ancient cities of Karpathos. It was located near the village Avlona. Today a small part of the city and the walls are preserved as well as some ruins from graves and three old Christian churches. The Rolls-Royce Olympus (originally the Bristol B.E.10 Olympus) was the world's second two- spool axial-flow turbojet aircraft engine design, first run in May 1950 and preceded only by the Pratt & Whitney J57, first-run in January 1950. It is best known as the powerplant of the Avro Vulcan and later models in the Concorde SST. The design dates to a November 1946 proposal by Bristol Aeroplane Company for a jet-powered bomber, powered by four new engines which would be supplied by Bristol Aero Engines. Olympus is a tension leg platform oil rig, planned as a further development of the Mars field (hence "Mars B"). Design Olympus is a Tension Leg Platform, with 24 wells; added to Mars A, this means a combined 48 wells and more than per day of oil equivalent capacity. The body of the platform was fabricated in South Korea, then transported to Texas on the MV Blue Marlin, arriving in January 2013, to be fitted with topside equipment made by Kiewit Offshore Services. Project Shell owns 71.5% of the project; BP owns 28.5%. It was originally expected to become operational in 2015 but first oil production safely occurred as quickly as early February 2014. Mount Olympus or Olympus Cove is a neighborhood in Millcreek, Utah built on the northwestern slopes of Mount Olympus of the Wasatch Range. It was formerly a census-designated place (CDP), but was consolidated into the Millcreek CDP for census purposes in 2010. Millcreek incorporated as a city in 2016.
