International Olympic Committee
The International Olympic Committee (IOC; french: link=no, Comité international olympique, ''CIO'') is a non-governmental sports organisation based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is constituted in the form of an association under the Swiss Civil Code (articles 60–79). Dave Pierce (born October 24, 1972) is a Canadian songwriter, composer, producer and arranger. Pierce was the music director for the opening, closing, and victory ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, for which he received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction in 2010, arranger for Twyla Tharp's Frank Sinatra musical, ''Come Fly Away'' (opened March 2010) in New York at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway and later that year opening as ''Sinatra Dance With Me'' at the Wynn Las Vegas; and music director of the Calgary Stampede Evening Grandstand Show. In poetry, a stanza (; from Italian language, Italian ''stanza'' , "room") is a group of lines within a poem, usually set off from others by a blank line or Indentation (typesetting), indentation. Stanzas can have regular rhyme scheme, rhyme and Metre (poetry), metrical schemes, but they are not required to have either. There are many different : Stanzaic form, forms of stanzas.
