Olympic Gold Quest
Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) is a program of the Foundation for Promotion of Sports and Games, a Not for Profit (Section 25) Company, which is committed to bridging the gap between the best athletes in India and the best athletes in the world thus helping Indian athletes to win Olympic Gold medals. OGQ aims to create a level playing field for Indian athletes to enable them to be competitive at the highest level of sport. Founded by Indian sporting legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone, OGQ's first test was the London 2012 Olympics. 4 out of the 6 Indian medalists were supported by OGQ. Rimil Buriuly
Rimil Buriuly (born 9 January 1991) is an Indian sportswoman who competes in archery. Rimil was part of bronze winning team in Women's Recurve event at the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China between 12 and 27 November 2010. Rimil is employed in Indian Railways in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Bombayla Devi Laishram
Bombayla Devi Laishram (born 22 February 1985) is an Indian archer. A member of the national recurve team representing India at the international events since 2007, she has won a silver medal at the World Archery Championships, and four gold, five silver, and four bronze medals at various editions of the Archery World Cup. Laishram peaked at no. 14 in the world rankings in March 2009. Born in Imphal East, Manipur, Laishram began playing archery at the age of 11 and joined the Sports Authority of India under the guidance of her father. Rahul Banerjee (archer)
Rahul Banerjee (born 15 December 1986) is an Indian Olympic and Arjuna Awardee archer. Career Banerjee started archery at the age of thirteen. His sister Dola Banerjee is also an Olympic archer. His first international appearance was in Youth World Championship in 2004; he won a team silver medal, which was the first world level medal for Indian archers. Tarundeep Rai
Tarundeep Rai (born 22 February 1984, in Namchi, Sikkim, India) is an Indian archer. He is conferred with the Padma Shri, in 2021, by the Government of India, for his contribution in Sports. Earlier, in 2018, he was awarded the Khel Ratan Award. Career Tarundeep made his debut in international archery at the age of 19 years when he played at the Asian Archery Championship 2003 held at Yangon, Myanmar. Tarundeep Rai won India their maiden individual silver medal in archery at the Asian Games at the 16th Asian Games on 24 November 2010 in Guangzhou, China. He was a member of the Indian archery team that won the bronze medal at the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006. Jayanta Talukdar
Jayanta Talukdar (born 2 March 1986 in Guwahati) is an Indian archer from Assam. He has won individual gold Medal in the 2006 Archery World Cup. Career Talukdar was part of the Indian team that won the silver medal at the 2004 Junior World Championships. He followed up with a gold medal at the FITA Meteksan World Cup in 2006, becoming the first Indian archer (bhartiya tirandaj) to win gold at the event. Deepika Kumari
Deepika Kumari (born 13 June 1994) is an Indian professional archer. Currently ranked the World No. 2, she competes in the event of archery. She won a gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth games in the women's individual recurve event. She also won a gold medal in the same competition in the women's team recurve event along with Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi. She has won individual gold in two of the three stages of the World Cup--one in Guatemala and another in Paris.
