Megargel Independent School District was a school district located in Megargel, Texas (USA) from 1910 until 2006. The district had one school called the Megargel School. The district served portions of Archer County, including the town of Megargel. The district also served portions of Baylor County, Throckmorton County, and Young County. History What became Megargel ISD was established in the spring and summer of 1910. The first school received an addition of two rooms circa 1914. In 1924 the school district acquired three school buses and an additional four rooms were added to the school in the wake of an oil boom in the area. Olney is a city in Young County, Texas, United States. Its population was 3,007 in 2020. History On May 18, 1951, the city was devastated by a violent F4 tornado. Thomas P. Throckmorton County, Texas
Throckmorton County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,440. Its county seat is Throckmorton. The county was created in 1858 and later organized in 1879. It is named for William Throckmorton, an early Collin County settler. Throckmorton County is one of six prohibition, or entirely dry, counties in Texas.
