Olivier Cotte (born 20 June 1963) is a French writer, graphic novel scriptwriter, animation historian, illustrator, and a director. Biography Born into a family of artists, Olivier Cotte studied piano, classical dance and fine arts in parallel with his philosophy degree. Passionate about animation, he made his first film at the age of 14. Fascinated by the aesthetics of John Cage and Merce Cunningham, he first wanted to become a contemporary dancer, but then enrolled in the fine arts and the Sorbonne in cinema and literature. Plot Sylvestre (Daniel Ceccaldi), theater producer, sees his latest production threatened as the main actress unexpectedly departs from the project due to her pregnancy. Richard Williams (animator)
Richard Edmund Williams (March 19, 1933 – August 16, 2019) was a Canadian-British animator, voice actor, director, and writer, best known for serving as animation director on ''Who Framed Roger Rabbit'' (1988), for which he won two Academy Awards, and for his unfinished feature film ''The Thief and the Cobbler'' (1993). He was also a film title sequence designer and animator. Other works in this field include the title sequences for ''What's New Pussycat?'' (1965) and '' A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum'' (1966) and title and linking sequences in ''The Charge of the Light Brigade'' and the intros of the eponymous cartoon feline for two of the later ''Pink Panther'' films. ''The Animator's Survival Kit: A Manual of Methods, Principles, and Formulas for Classical, Computer, Games, Stop Motion, and Internet Animators'' () is an instructional book by Academy Award-winning animator and director Richard Williams. The book includes techniques, advice, tips, tricks, and general information on the history of animation. DVDs Animation examples from the book combined with footage from Richard Williams' masterclasses have been put into a 16-volume DVD box set titled ''The Animator's Survival Kit – Animated''. The logo from the book cover was completely animated in the traditional style, taking Williams and his animators 9 months to complete. Georges Schwizgebel (b. 1944) is a Swiss animation film director whose paint-on-glass-animated 2004 film ''L'Homme sans ombre'' (''The Man With No Shadow'') won various awards. Biography Schwizgebel was born on 28 September 1944 in Reconvilier, Canton of Berne ( Jura bernois), in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. From 1960-65 he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts et des Arts Décoratifs at Geneva. In 1970 he founded Studio GDS with Claude Luyet et Daniel Suter, where he produced and directed animated films as well as working in graphic design. From 1986 to 1995 he worked on retrospectives and exhibitions, among others, in Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Osaka, Paris and New York. In 2012, the artist donated some drawings on paper, paintings on cellulose (the customary technique of Schwizgebel) and pastels to the Swiss Film Archive, thus constituting the ''Georges Schwizgebel Papers''. Annecy ( , ; frp, Èneci or ) is the prefecture and largest city of the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of Southeastern France.
