Olivia Henry
Olivia Henry (born 27 January 2004) is an Australian cricketer who currently plays for Victoria in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). She plays as a right-handed batter. Domestic career Henry plays grade cricket for Ringwood Cricket Club. In May 2022, Henry received her first professional contract, signing with Victoria for the upcoming 2022–23 Women's National Cricket League season. In September 2022, she was added to the Melbourne Stars squad for the upcoming 2022–23 Women's Big Bash League season. She made her debut for Melbourne Stars on 20 November 2022, but did not bat or bowl. In December 2022, Henry played for Victoria in the Cricket Australia Under-19 National Female Championships, and was the fourth-highest run-scorer in the competition. Off spin is a type of finger spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners are right arm, right-handed spin bowling, spin bowlers who use their fingers to spin the ball. 2022–23 Women's Big Bash League Season
The 2022–23 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 08 was the eighth season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament was played from 13 October to 26 November 2022. The Perth Scorchers entered the season as the defending champions, having won their maiden title in WBBL07, but failed to qualify for the finals. The Sydney Sixers won eleven games during the regular season—a new WBBL record—and finished on top of the points table for the fourth time in the team's history, thereby automatically qualifying (and earning host rights) for the Final. In the championship decider, played at North Sydney Oval, the Sixers were defeated in an upset by the Adelaide Strikers. 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup
The 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup was the first edition of the ICC Women's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, hosted by South Africa in 2023. The tournament was moved from its original slot at the end of 2021 to January 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen teams competed in the tournament, initially divided into four groups. India, England, Australia and New Zealand progressed to the semi-finals of the competition. In the semi-finals, India beat New Zealand by 8 wickets and England beat Australia by 3 runs. The Australia women's under-19 cricket team represents Australia in international under-19 women's cricket. The team is administrated by Cricket Australia. The 2022–23 Women's National Cricket League season was the 27th season of the Women's National Cricket League, the women's domestic limited overs cricket competition in Australia. The tournament ran from 23 September 2022 to 25 February 2023. On 29 June 2022, Cricket Australia announced the fixtures for the tournament; a total of 43 matches will be played, with each of the seven teams playing each other team twice. Tasmania were the defending champions. Tasmania won the competition, their second WNCL title, beating South Australia in the rain-affected final. The Ringwood Cricket Club is a cricket club based in Ringwood, in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. It fields four sides in Victorian Premier Cricket as well as a fifth side in the Eastern Cricket Association and several junior sides in the Ringwood & District Cricket Association.
