Olivia Dillon
Olivia Dillon (born 4 May 1973) is an Irish former bicycle racing, racing cyclist. She competed in the 2012 UCI Road World Championships – Women's road race, 2012 UCI women's road race in Valkenburg aan de Geul and in the 2013 UCI Road World Championships – Women's road race, 2013 UCI women's road race in Florence. Dillon won her national tour, Rás na mBan, on three occasions: 2010, 2011 and 2013. She is the only rider to win the event on more than one occasion. Dillon won the Irish National Cycling Championships, Irish National Time Trial Championships on four occasions: 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012 and she took victory in the Irish National Cycling Championships, Irish National Road Race Championships in 2010, one of five medals she won in the event. 2012 UCI Road World Championships
The 2012 UCI Road World Championships took place in the southern part of the Dutch province of Limburg, also known as South Limburg, between September 15 and 23. The event consisted of a road race and a time trial for men, women and men under 23, and team time trials for elite men and women. It was the 79th Road World Championships. Castelfidardo near Loreto in Italy was also a candidate, but Italy had held the UCI Road World Championships in Varese in 2008. The Netherlands had last hosted the Road World Championships in 1998, in Valkenburg aan de Geul, and 2012 was the seventh time that the country hosted the championships. The 2012 championships had a number of changes compared to the former editions. A team time trial was reintroduced. This was last competed as a world championship event in 1994 between nations. Saint Francis Tulsa Tough Ride and Race is a three-day cycling festival in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It features non-competitive riding through scenic areas around the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and professional level races. It is held each year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the second weekend in June. Saint Francis Tulsa Tough attracts professional and amateur racers from across the country racing criterium style races on three different venues in the streets of Downtown Tulsa and along the Arkansas River. North Star Grand Prix
The North Star Grand Prix is a men's and women's road bicycle racing stage race held each June in Minnesota, United States, as part of the North Star Bicycle Festival. An event was added in North Mankato in 2016. The North Star Grand Prix is one of only four races on the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour. The 2010 Grand Prix had six stages: three criteriums, two road races and a time trial. The event was known as the Nature Valley Grand Prix until 2013, but was renamed following sponsorship changes. The North Star Bicycle Festival is run by volunteers, proceeds going to Special Olympics Minnesota. The North Star Grand Prix was cancelled in 2018, which would have been its 20th year. An attempt to bring it back in 2019 failed since it had no cash sponsors and a GoFundMe campaign raised only 6% of the needed funds. The Armed Forces Cycling Classic (formerly known as the Air Force Association Cycling Classic) refers to a weekend of road bicycle racing events held annually in June in Arlington, Virginia, United States. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time.
