Oliver Black is a Canadian rock group from Welland, Ontario. Members of the band include Serena Pryne (vocals), Nick Lesyk (guitar), Greg Zack (bass guitar), and Allan Colavecchia (drums). Musically, the band performs heavy rock and roll music, with music that appears to be influenced by older artists such as AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, and The Ramones, but performed in such a manner that allows their music to stay fresh and non-derivative. The band has been described as "If Tina Turner sang lead for The Cult." History The band originally formed, under the name Lenz Riot, in March 2002, and played primarily cover songs at shows throughout the St. Catharines area. Thornley was a Canadian post-grunge and hard rock band formed by Ian Thornley in 2002. The band was started when Thornley returned to Toronto after the break-up of his earlier band, Big Wreck. With the help of Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Thornley signed to Kroeger's 604 Records. The last line-up of the band as Thornley had Paulo Neta (guitar), Dave McMillan (bass guitar), Christopher Henry (drums) and the former member of Big Wreck Brian Doherty (guitar). Theodore Anthony Nugent (; born December 13, 1948) is an American rock musician and activist. He initially gained fame as the lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of The Amboy Dukes, a band formed in 1963 that played psychedelic rock and hard rock. After dissolving the band, he embarked on a successful solo career. Silvertide is an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. History Originally named Vertigo, Silvertide was formed in January 2001 in Northeast Philadelphia. At first, the band was signed by J Records, and they released their first EP ''American Excess'' in 2002. Their first full album, ''Show and Tell'', was released in 2004 and produced by David Ivory. After completion of their debut album in 2003, Silvertide hit the road and toured straight until 2006, most notably in support of Van Halen, Velvet Revolver, and Mötley Crüe in the summer of 2004, and Alter Bridge in 2005. Grady is a Southern rock band based in Austin, Texas. History Grady originally consisted of Canadian vocalist and guitarist Gordie Johnson (known as Grady Johnson as part of the band), Canadian bass guitarist "Big" Ben Richardson, and Chris Layton on drums. Prior to Grady, Johnson was the frontman for Big Sugar (band), Big Sugar, Layton was the drummer for Stevie Ray Vaughan's Double Trouble (band), Double Trouble rhythm section, and Richardson was with The Jeff Healey Band and The Phantoms in Toronto. Grady often plays at The Continental Club in Austin, did an eight stop Canadian tour in March 2005, and appeared at the University of Regina to play a free show in September 2005. North by Northeast (or NXNE) is an annual music and arts festival held each June in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Jeff Martin (Canadian Musician)
Jeffrey Scott Martin ( Brill; born October 2, 1969) is a Canadian guitarist and singer, best known for fronting the rock band The Tea Party. He began his career as a solo artist in 2005, when The Tea Party went on hiatus. Biography Early years Martin began playing guitar as a child and in his adolescence played in bands The Shadows, Modern Movement, and The Stickmen. In 1988, Jeff graduated from Sandwich Secondary School along with future Tea Party bandmates Jeff Burrows and Stuart Chatwood. He went on to study music at the University of Windsor before leaving his studies prematurely due to philosophical differences with his music professor.
