Olivares, Spain
Olivares is a city located in the Province of Seville, Spain. According to the 2016 census (INE), the city has a population of 9480 inhabitants. It is located in the Aljarafe, the ''comarca'' downstream of the Guadalquivir and west of Seville. It borders Albaida to the west, Gerena to the north, Salteras to the east, and Sanlúcar la Mayor and Villanueva del Ariscal to the south. After the establishment of the House of Olivares, it grew in size and influence, becoming an important urban center in the Aljarafe. History Olivares is located in the region of Tartessos, one of the oldest documented cultures in Europe. Several Bronze and Iron Age tells are found in the area, such as the Cerro de las Cabezas, which is thought to correspond to the ancient city of Laelia mentioned by Pliny and Ptolemy. Gerardo Olivares (born 1964) is a Spanish filmmaker and screenwriter. He is married with two children and lives in Madrid. He was the first Spanish man to win the Golden Spike at the prestigious Seminci film festival in Valladolid for his film "14 kilómetros". René Olivares
René Olivares (born December 24, 1946, in Santiago) is a Chilean painter and designer. He's called the sixth member of the band of Los Jaivas. Biografy Early life René Olivares was the son of René Olivares Becerra, a director of publication (Editora Nacional Quimantú and Laura Espínola, paintor. He grew up in Santiago. He didn't like go to school and loved to draw in his father's office. "I grew up watching magazines and my mother's painting books, in which I discovered the life of the cursed artists in Paris and dreamed of imitating them one day". When he was 12 Cuando he showed his drawings to the writer Marcela Paz, who was the director of Pandilla's review. She gave her his first job as a drawer. Omar Olivares Palau (born July 6, 1967) is a Puerto Rican former right-handed starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the St. Louis Cardinals (1990–1994), Colorado Rockies (1995), Philadelphia Phillies (1995), Detroit Tigers (1996–97), Seattle Mariners (1997), Anaheim Angels (1998–99), Oakland Athletics (1999–2000) and Pittsburgh Pirates (2001). Miguel De Olivares
Miguel de Olivares (1675–1768) was a Chilean priest and historian. Miguel de Olivares was born at Chillán. He joined the Society of Jesus, became a missionary, and as such began about 1701 to travel through the territories of Quillota, Polpaico, Tiltil, Limache, and others. From 1712 until 1720 he directed the missions of Nahuelhuapi and Calbuco, and in 1730 he was in Concepción during the earthquake of July, which destroyed that city. His frequent voyages gave him an opportunity to study the archives of the Company of Jesus, and about 1736, in Santiago, he began to compile his history. From 1740 till 1758 he served in the missions of Araucania, where he learned the language of the Indians. He intended to write a complete history of Chile, when a decree of Charles III exiled the Jesuits, and, notwithstanding his advanced age, Olivares had to leave the country. Manuel Olivares Lapeña (2 April 1909 – 16 February 1976) was a Spanish football striker and manager. In only 82 La Liga games he scored 56 goals, mostly for Real Madrid with which he won three major titles. Club career Born in Son Servera, Balearic Islands, Olivares joined Deportivo Alavés in 1928 and made his debut in La Liga in the 1930–31 season, scoring ten goals in 14 games as the Basques finished in eighth position (out of ten clubs). Juan Manuel Olivares
Juan Manuel Hermenegildo de la Luz Olivares (April 4, 1760 – March 1, 1797) was a Venezuelan composer from the Colonial era. Olivares was born in Caracas. As a child, he studied under Don Ambrosio Carreño. In 1784, he began teaching in Caracas, and this same year Pedro Ramón Palacios y Sojo entrusted to him the direction of the Academia del Oratorio de San Felipe de Neri, which he held until his death; he also became organist at the academy's church, the ''Basílica de Santa Teresa''. On May 11, 1789, he married Sebastiana Velásquez in Caracas at the Church of San Pablo Ermitaño, which stood where the Municipal Theater now stands. Padre Sojo was the priest. Olivares was the caretaker and teacher of Lino Gallardo. He died in El Valle, Caracas.
