Olga Sherbatykh (born 2 May 1988) is a Ukrainian former artistic gymnast. She participated at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She also competed at world championships, including the 2008 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Final The 2008 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Final was held in Madrid, Spain in December 2008. The Ukraine women's national artistic gymnastics team represents Ukraine in FIG international competitions. History After the fall of the Soviet Union, a handful of former Soviet gymnasts started competing for Ukraine. They participated as a team in the 1996, 2000, and 2004 Olympic Games. Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different apparatuses. Ukrainian female gymnasts have competed in every Olympics since 1996. A total of 23 female gymnasts have represented Ukraine at the Olympics, but the only medalist is Lilia Podkopayeva. Lilia Podkopayeva won a total of 3 medals at the 1996 Summer Olympics, and she was the first multiple Olympic medalist from Ukraine.
