Olga Korsak
Olga Korsak (born February 10, 1989 in Riga, Latvia) is a former competitive figure skater for Latvia, and is now an actress and singer/songwriter living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is the 2006-2007 Latvian National Champion, as well as earning silver in 2004-2005, and bronze in 2002-2003. In 2006, Olga suffered a back injury while trying to qualify at the World Figure Championships in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Her injury forced her to retire from figure skating. After graduating from the Latvian Academy of Sports Education, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Stage Production & Fitness, she moved to Toronto, Canada in October 2009 to pursue her dream of becoming an actress and singer/songwriter. As her music stage name of LIVVA, she achieved recognition in 2014 with her self-released debut album, ''Behind Closed Doors'', which sold more than 10,000 copies in Canada. The Karl Schäfer Memorial (other titles: Asko Cup (1987), Vienna Cup (1994), or Vienna Trophy) was a senior-level international figure skating competition held in Vienna, Austria. The Moscow International Film Festival (russian: Моско́вский междунаро́дный кинофестива́ль, translit. ''Moskóvskiy myezhdunaródniy kinofyestivál''; abbreviated as MIFF) is the film festival first held in Moscow in 1935 and became regular since 1959. Figure Skating At The 2018 Winter Olympics
Figure skating at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games was held at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung, South Korea. The five events took place between 9 and 23 February 2018. Qualification A total of 148 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games. Each NOC could enter a maximum of 18 athletes, with a maximum of nine men and nine women. An additional six quota spots were made available for the team event. A further ten team trophy quotas (two in each discipline) were distributed to countries who qualified for the team event but not the discipline itself. The 2017 World Figure Skating Championships were held 29 March – 2 April 2017 in Helsinki, Finland. The host was named in June 2014. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. The event also determined the number of entries for each country at the 2018 World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics. Venues Hartwall Arena's main arena, with an ice surface measuring 60 m x 30 m, was used for all competitions and several practice sessions. The 2015 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2014–15 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event was held on 2–8 March 2015 at the newly constructed Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia.
