Olga Koch
Olga Alfredovna Koch (; born 1 September 1992) is a Russian-British stand-up comedian, writer, and actress. Early life Koch is the daughter of Alfred Koch, head of the State Committee for State Property Management of the Russian Federation from 1996 to 1997. When she was 13, her family moved to the UK, settling in Surrey, where she was educated at The American School in England. She studied computer programming at New York University, and also trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Career Koch's first show was in 2016, entitled ''Me, Me, Me''. This was followed by ''Data Night'' and ''Good Vibes'' in 2017. In 2018, she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut hour, ''Fight''. She was named Quantum Leopard Champion of Champions for 2018, jointly with Zoë Tomalin. ''Mock the Week'' is a British topical satirical celebrity panel show, created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson. It was produced by Angst Productions for BBC Two, and was broadcast from 5 June 2005 to 4 November 2022. The programme was presented by Dara Ó Briain and featured regular appearances by comedian Hugh Dennis, as well as guest appearances by a variety of stand-up comedians, some of whom had regular appearances in several series. The format of the programme saw six comedians divided into two teams and performing on a faux game show, in which the quiz aspect of answering questions relating to major and regional news items, all taken from the week before each episode's filming, is sidelined to focus on satirical, topical discussions on news items, stand-up routines, and the use of improvisational comedy. Angel is an area on the northern fringes of Central London within the London Borough of Islington. It is north-northeast of Charing Cross on the Inner Ring Road at a busy transport intersection. ''Newsjack'' was a British satirical sketch show which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra between 2009 and 2021. It was hosted by Miles Jupp (2009-Mar 2011), Justin Edwards (Sep 2011-2013), Romesh Ranganathan (2014), Nish Kumar (2015-2016), Angela Barnes (2017-2018) and Kiri Pritchard-McLean (2019-2021). It was first broadcast on 4 June 2009. The series was notable for having an "Open door" policy on writing, advertising itself as "the scrapbook sketch show written entirely by the Great British public" meaning that unsolicited writers without contract to the BBC could send in material. ''Pointless'' is a British television quiz show produced by Banijay subsidiary Remarkable Television for the BBC. It is hosted by Alexander Armstrong. In each episode four teams of two contestants attempt to find correct but obscure answers to four rounds of general knowledge questions with the winning team eligible to compete for the show's cash jackpot. All questions used on the show are factual in nature and are asked of a panel of 100 individuals in a pre-conducted public survey. A correct answer scores one point for each survey subject who gave it and the objective is to achieve as low a score as possible. "Pointless" answers are correct responses that were not given by anyone surveyed, score zero points and are the most desirable.
