Olga Karmansky
Olga Karmansky (born ) is an American individual rhythmic gymnast. She represents her nation at international competitions. At the 2001 Pan American Gymnastics Championships she won the gold medal in the team all-around, individual all-around and hoop events and the bronze medal in the ball and rope events. Karmansky participated at the 2003 Pan American Games where she won two silver medals, in the individual all-around and ball events. Just like in 2001 she won the gold medal in the team all-around event at the 2005 Pan American Gymnastics Championships, and further the silver medal in the clubs event and the bronze medal in the ball and ribbon events. She competed at world championships, including at the 2005 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. Rhythmic Gymnast
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. It became an Olympic sport in 1984, with an individual all-around event. The group all-around competition was added to the Olympics in 1996. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport. The most prestigious competitions, besides the Olympic Games, are the World Championships, World Games, European Championships, European Games, the World Cup Series and the Grand Prix Series. 2003 Pan American Games
The 2003 Pan American Games were held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from August 1 to 17, 2003. The successful bid for the games was made in the mid-1990s, when Dominican Republic had one of the highest growth rates in Latin America. All 42 PASO countries and over 5,223 athletes pre-registered for the participation in the XIV Pan American Games. An additional 2,425 trainers and delegates attended. The United States pre-registered the most athletes (713) and Saint Lucia entered the least (6). The host country entered 562 athletes. The Tour Of Gymnastics Superstars
The Tour of Gymnastics Superstars was a nationwide concert tour that showcases the talents of 17 American gymnasts as well as recording artists Jordan Pruitt, Carly Patterson, and KSM. The tour visited 34 different cities in over twenty states across the continental United States. The first show, in Reno, Nevada, was taped for a national broadcast on MyNetworkTV and included a musical performance by ''Hannah Montana'' actor Mitchel Musso.
