Olga Elena Mattei
Olga Elena Mattei Echavarría (born 1933 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican-born Colombian poet. She has won several poetry awards in Colombia and other Spanish-speaking countries. She has written around 23 books published, 41 unpublished and thousands of poems to be typed and compiled, all of them in Spanish. Career In 1979 she participated in the ''"International Writers Program"'' at the University of Iowa (Usono). Her work has been included in more than 120 international and national anthologies and dictionaries. She has received 43 recognitions, including 9 international and national awards and 34 decorations, plaques and tributes. Her multimedia poem on the cosmos, "Cosmoagonía", has been presented at the planetariums of New York, Washington, Toronto, Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Colombia. Arecibo
Arecibo (; ) is a city and municipality on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, located north of Utuado and Ciales; east of Hatillo; and west of Barceloneta and Florida. It is about west of San Juan, the capital city. Arecibo is the largest municipality in Puerto Rico by area, and it is the core city of the Arecibo Metropolitan Statistical Area and part of the greater San Juan Combined Statistical Area. It started circulating in Antioquia on April 20, 1979 and was founded by a group of business leaders and journalists. Meira Del Mar
Olga Isabel Chams Eljach (August 21, 1922 - March 18, 2009), better known by her pseudonym Meira Delmar, was a Colombian poet of Lebanese descent. She is considered one of the most famous Colombian poets of the 20th century and published seven books of poetry in her lifetime. She was a member of the Academia Colombiana de la Lengua since 1989. Biography She was born in Barranquilla, Colombia from Lebanese immigrants Julián E. Chams and Isabel Eljach. Her father had emigrated in the late 19th century to Haiti and then to Colombia. She was the youngest of three children and had two siblings, William and Alice. She started writing poems when she was 11 years old. She studied Latin and Music at the Universidad del Atlántico. Roldanillo
Roldanillo is a town and municipality located in the Department of Valle del Cauca, Colombia. It is also a tourist hotspot and known as Colombia's flying capital. It has hosted a range of international competitions, including the paragliding world cup superfinals. Roldanillo is the birthplace of Omar Rayo Reyes (January 20, 1928 – June 7, 2010). He was a renowned Colombian painter, sculptor, caricaturist and plastic artist. He won the 1970 Salón de Artistas Colombianos.
