Oles Buzina
Oles Alekseevich Buzina ( ua, Оле́сь Олексі́йович Бузина́, translit=Oles Oleksiyovych Buzyna; 13 July 1969 – 16 April 2015) was a Ukrainian journalist and writer known for his criticism of Ukrainian politics and for the support of closer ties of Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. He was found killed by a gunshot on 16 April 2015, near his residence in Kyiv. The murder case remains unsolved. Biography Oles Buzina was born on 13 July 1969 in Kyiv and attended local schools. In 1992 he graduated from the Faculty of Philology Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv specialising as a teacher of Russian language and literature. The National Expert Commission of Ukraine on the Protection of Public Morality ( uk, Національна експертна комісія України з питань захисту суспільної моралі) was a state body that from late 2004 till early 2015 operated to evaluate media to check they observed Ukrainian morality laws, which ban inciting religious hatred, producing or disseminating pornography, and propagating alcoholism and smoking. Political Censorship
Political censorship exists when a government attempts to conceal, fake, distort, or falsify information that its citizens receive by suppressing or crowding out political news that the public might receive through news outlets. In the absence of neutral and objective information, people will be unable to dissent with the government or political party in charge. The term also extends to the systematic suppression of views that are contrary to those of the government in power.
