Olena Kostevych
Olena Dmytrivna Kostevych ( ua, Олена Дмитрівна Костевич, born 14 April 1985) is a Ukrainian pistol shooter. She is the 2004 Olympic champion in the 10 metre air pistol event, 2002 World champion in 10 m air pistol event and 2018 World champion in 25 m pistol event. She is also multiple European Championships champion and medalist as well as Universiade champion. Personal life Kostevych was born in Khabarovsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. She moved to her mother's city Chernihiv and she was a student at the Chernihiv State Technological University in Chernihiv, Ukraine. Career Kostevych competes for Ukraine. At the age of 17, she won the 10 m air pistol event at the 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships. She followed this with a victory in the 2003 ISSF World Cup Final, and an Olympic gold medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Shooting At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's 10 Metre Air Pistol
The Women's 10 metre air pistol event at the 2012 Olympic Games took place on 29 July 2012 at the Royal Artillery Barracks. The event consisted of two rounds: a qualifier and a final. The 2021 European Shooting Championships were held from 22 May to 5 June 2021 in Osijek, Croatia. 1,473 athletes from 52 countries competed. Shooting At The 2019 European Games
Shooting competitions at the 2019 European Games in Minsk were held between 22 and 28 June 2019. A total of 19 events were contested. The winner in each of the 12 individual events contained a quota place for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Qualification The 24 best ranked athletes in the individual events at the European Ranking Lists as of 31 December 2018 will qualify one quota place for their NOCs, respecting the maximum quota places allocation per NOC per event.
