Oleksandr Kubrakov
Oleksandr Mykolayovych Kubrakov ( uk, Олександр Миколайович Кубраков; born 20 August 1982) is a Ukrainian economist, civil servant and politician. Since 20 May 2021, he has served as Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Biography Kubrakov studied at the Kyiv National Economic University and completed a course in the Harvard Kennedy School. Kubrakov was on a party list of the Servant of the People political party during the 2019 parliamentary elections, and was elected to the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) in 2019. He surrendered his deputy mandate upon his appointment as a head of Ukrautodor on 3 December 2019. The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine ( uk, Міністерство інфраструктури України) functions as the main executive body that controls Ukraine's transportation infrastructure including roads, trains, and communications. The department is based on the former Transport and Communications Ministry and also oversees the implementation of government tourism policies. The Order of Merit ( uk, Орден «За заслуги») (Distinguished service) first, second or third class, is the Ukrainian order of merit, given to individuals for outstanding achievements in economics, science, culture, military or political spheres of activity. The Shmyhal government ( uk, Уряд Дениса Шмигаля) is the current government of Ukraine, formed on 4 March 2020 and led by Denys Shmyhal, who was previously acting vice prime minister, and earlier the Governor of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
