Oleksandr Hrytsay ( uk, Олександр Анатолійович Грицай; born 30 September 1977) is a Ukrainian retired professional footballer who played as central defender. Club career Cheksyl Chernihiv Hrytsay started his career at FC Cheksyl Chernihiv, where he played 25 matches. Dnipro Cherkasy Hrytsay moved to FC Dnipro Cherkasy from 1997 to 1999, scoring three goals in 70 appearances for the club. Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk In 1999, he moved to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, where is spent the majority of his career, scoring four goals in 194 appearances. He played in the final of the 2003–04 Ukrainian Cup with Dnipro he got in the final of the Ukrainian Cup. Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (On Loan) In 2009 he moved on loan to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih where he played 10 matches. City Sports Club Dnipro Cherkasy ( uk, Міський спортивний клуб Дніпро Черкаси) is a Ukrainian football team based in Cherkasy. Over its history the club has been dissolved and revived several times. The original club that existed 1955-1974 was dissolved following a financial scandal. After that the club again was dissolved and revived couple of more times. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The competition involves all professional clubs plus the two finalists of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup (since 2011). Past variations of the competition involved a home-away type of elimination, but the Ukrainian Cup has since changed to a single game per round format. FC Balkany Zorya ( uk, ФК Балкани Зоря, FK Balkany Zorya) is a professional Ukrainian football team that is based in the village of Zorya, Sarata Raion in the region of Budjak, Odesa Oblast. History The club was founded in 2007 as FC Zorya in the ethnically Bulgarian village of Zorya that was founded in 1831 by resettlers from Bulgaria which is located on the Balkan peninsula. In the first year of the founding of the club managed to take second place in the championship of Sarata Raion. Between 2008–2011, Balkany became Champions of the Raion, also winning the cup and tournaments. In 2011, the team Odesa Oblast cup with the winning goal was scored by Oleksandr Raychev thereby winning the right to build a stadium in the village of Sarata.
