The Oleksandr Dovzhenko State Prize of Ukraine is a state award of Ukraine established to honor an outstanding contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema. Oles Hennadiyovych Sanin ( uk, Олесь Геннадійович Санін; born July 30, 1972 in Kamin-Kashyrskyi) is a Ukrainian film director, actor, cinematographer, producer, musician and sculptor. Distinguished Artist of Ukraine; he was awarded the Alexander Dovzhenko Ukrainian State Award. Biography Born in Kamin-Kashyrskyi in the Volyn Oblast. Natalya Anatoliyivna Vorozhbyt ( uk, Наталія Анатоліївна Ворожбит}) (born 4 April 1975) is a Ukrainian playwright and screenwriter. Life Vorozhbyt graduated in 2000 from the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute. She has also studied at the International Writers Program. She writes her scripts in both Russian and Ukrainian. Together with the German director Georg Zheno she founded the Theater of the Displaced, where refugees from Donbas can tell their stories, and curated the Class Act project. She wrote the screenplay for the feature film ''Cyborgs'' about the defense of Sergei Prokoviev Airport near Donetsk, where Ukrainian soldiers fought for 242 days against separatists. Valentyn Vasyanovych (born 21 July 1971) is a Ukrainian film director. He is best known for his two films on post-traumatic stress disorder following armed conflict, ''Atlantis'' (2019), and ''Reflection'' (2021). Films Vasyanovych's first film was a documentary short titled ''Keepsake'', focused on his own family. He created it while squatting with other artists in Kyiv in an abandoned building. His first feature film, ''Business as Usual'' (''Zvychayna sprava''), was released in 2012. His 2017 film ''Black Level'' was selected as the Ukrainian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards, but it did not make it to the December shortlist. The film tells the story of a wedding photographer who suffers a midlife crisis after losing his sick father and breaking up with his girlfriend. Bohdan Sylvestrovych Stupka ( uk, Богдан Сильвестрович Ступка; 27 August 1941 – 22 July 2012) was a popular Ukrainian actor and the minister of culture of Ukraine. He was born in Kulykiv, General Government to Ukrainian parents. In 2001, he was a member of the jury at the 23rd Moscow International Film Festival. At the 26th Moscow International Film Festival he won the award for Best Actor for his role in '' Our Own''. Stupka played in more than a hundred roles in films and over fifty in theaters. Myroslav Mykhailovych Slaboshpytskyi ( uk, Мирослав Михайлович Слабошпицький; born October 17, 1974) is a Ukrainian film director. Biography Slaboshpytskyi was born to Ukrainian writer and literary critic Mykhailo Slaboshpytskyi. Until 1982 he lived in Lviv.
