Oleksandr Chernetskyi
Oleksandr Stepanovych Chernetskyi ( uk, Олександр Степанович Чернецький, also transliterated Chernetsʼkyy or Chernetskyy, born February 17, 1984, in Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast) is an amateur Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler, who wrestled for the men's super heavyweight category. Career He won a bronze medal for his category at the 2006 European Wrestling Championships in Moscow, Russia. He is also a member of the wrestling club at CSKA Kiev, and is coached and trained by his father Stepan Chernetskyi. Chernetskyi represented Ukraine at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's 120 kg class. He lost the qualifying round match to U.S. wrestler Dremiel Byers, who was able to score three points in two straight periods, leaving Chernetskyi with a single point. Dolyna
Dolyna ( uk, Доли́на, pl, Dolina, yi, דאלינע) is a city located in Kalush Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (region) in south-western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Dolyna urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: . In 2001, population was around 20,900. History The city's history reaches the 10th century, making it one of oldest in the region. By the 14th century Dolyna became renowned for its salt mine. In 1349 the city came under the rule of the Kingdom of Poland, where it remained until 1772 (see Partitions of Poland). In 1525 Dolyna, or Dolina, as it is called in Polish, was granted city rights under the Magdeburg law and the right to trade salt similar to that of Kolomyia. 2022 World Wrestling Championships
The 2022 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held between 10 and 18 September 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The UWW Bureau approved the candidature of Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the 2023 Senior World Championships. However, due to the restrictions on Russia for hosting World Championships in 2021–2022, Belgrade replaced the former city of Krasnoyarsk as the World Championships host for 2022. For 2023 the World Championships host will be reallocated to Russia. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been banned from 2022 World Championships. The men's Greco-Roman 130 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Belgrade, Serbia on 12 and 13 September 2022. This Greco-Roman wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals.
