Oleh Shturbabin
Oleh Shturbabin (in Ukrainian ; born 22 July 1984) is a Ukrainian sabre fencer, bronze medallist in the 2005 World Fencing Championships and silver team medallist in the 2006 World Fencing Championships. Career Shturbabin is the son of fencing coach Valery Shturbabin, who currently trains Ukraine's national sabre team. He took up fencing at the age of six. His first major award was a bronze medal at the 2001 Cadet World Championships in Gdańsk, followed by a team bronze medal at the Junior World Championships. He was offered a scholarship by an American college, but he refused as he did not want to move. He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics, finishing in sixth position in the sabre event. With Dmytro Boiko, Volodymyr Lukashenko and Vladyslav Tretiak, he won the silver medal in the sabre team event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships after losing to France in the final. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". Khmelnytskyi National University is a Ukrainian university in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine. History Established on June 1962 with the development of a general-technical department of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing, Ukrainian Printing Institute, 250 students were accepted into the first year of evening courses and distance study. About 200 students were transferred from other higher educational establishments to upper courses of distance study. In January 1966, the faculty was reorganized into the branch of the Ukrainian Printing Institute. Vladyslav Vasilyevich Tretiak ( uk, Владислав Васильович Третяк, also spelled Vladislav, born 21 February 1980 in Kiev, in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian sabre fencer. Tretiak competed in men's sabre at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He reached the semifinals after defeating teammate Volodymyr Lukashenko, but lost to Hungary's Zsolt Nemcsik. He prevailed over Dmitry Lapkes of Belarus to take the bronze medal. He finished 3rd in Team Sabre at the 2003 World Championships.
