Ole Jacob Bull
Ole Jacob Bull (born 11 March 1948) is a Norwegian translator and cultural director. He holds the cand.mag. degree from 1974. He worked as director of the Norwegian Writers' Center from 1980 to 1982, studied abroad from 1982 to 1983 (and 1979 to 1980), and then worked in the publishing house Aschehoug Forlag from 1985 to 1997. Norwegian Writers' Center
The Norwegian Writers' Center ( no, Norsk forfattersentrum) is an organization of Norwegian poets and fiction writers that encourages interactions among writers and the general public. It is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs and promotes literacy through poetry readings, public talks, conferences, presentations in schools, and cultural events. Writers resident in Norway having published at least one work of fiction (novels, poetry and children's books), are eligible for membership. The Norwegian Writers' Center was established in 1968 under the initiative of the authors Einar Økland, Bjørn Nilsen and Tor Obrestad. Today the writer's center has over 900 author and has offices in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø. H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard), commonly known as Aschehoug,() is one of the largest independent publishing companies in Norway, founded in 1872. Headquartered in Oslo, the publishing house has 480 employees. The Aschehoug group also comprises other publishing houses owned partially or wholly by Aschehoug. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' ( no, Store Norske Leksikon, abbreviated ''SNL''), is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with more than two million unique visitors per month. Paper editions 1978–2007 The ''SNL'' was created in 1978, when the two publishing houses Aschehoug and Gyldendal merged their encyclopedias and created the company Kunnskapsforlaget. Anne Aasheim
Anne Aasheim (22 April 1962 – 30 March 2016) was a Norwegian editor. She was born in Porsgrunn and started her journalist career in the neighboring city's largest newspaper ''Varden'' in the late 1970s. She worked in '' Dagen'' and '' Bergens Arbeiderblad'' before being hired in NRK Hordaland in 1988. She served as acting director of NRK P3 in Trondheim and NRK P2 in Oslo before being appointed as director of the local news post '' Østlandssendingen'' in 1997. In 1999 she served as acting director of culture in the news corporation, before serving as director of national and district news from 2001 to 2005. After a period as editor-in-chief of ''Dagbladet'' from 2006 to 2010, she resigned and became the new managing director of the Arts Council Norway in 2011.
