Old Lions Still Roar
''Old Lions Still Roar'' is the first solo album by Welsh guitarist Phil Campbell (second if counting albums by his band the Bastard Sons). It was released on 25 October 2019 on Nuclear Blast. Development Since 1999, long-time Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell had been planning a solo album. However, this never came about due to the tight schedule of his former band. Only when Motörhead was dissolved after the death of singer Lemmy Kilmister did Campbell find the time to put his ideas into practice. At the beginning of the 2010s he had set up a recording studio in his house and collected riffs and licks over the years. Around 2016, the recordings began, now without time pressure. Phil Campbell insisted on writing ten different-sounding songs that have nothing to do with his old band Motörhead. Phil Campbell (musician)
Philip Anthony Campbell (born 7 May 1961) is a Welsh rock musician, best known as the lead guitarist in Motörhead from 1984 to 2015. The band disbanded upon the death of founder and frontman Lemmy. He currently tours with his own band Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, featuring his three sons: Todd, Dane and Tyla. Early life and career Campbell was born in Pontypridd, and started playing guitar when he was 10 years old, inspired and influenced by guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Jan Akkerman, Michael Schenker and Todd Rundgren. Ugly Kid Joe
Ugly Kid Joe is an American hard rock band from Isla Vista, California, formed in 1989. The band's name spoofs the glam metal band Pretty Boy Floyd's name. To date, Ugly Kid Joe have released five full-length albums, two compilation albums and two EPs. Their best selling records are ''As Ugly as They Wanna Be'' (1991) and ''America's Least Wanted'' (1992), which were both certified double platinum by the RIAA; the former is notable for being the first EP to go platinum. Matt Sorum
Matthew William Sorum (born November 19, 1960) is an American drummer. He is best known as both a former member of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he recorded three studio albums, and as a member of the supergroup Velvet Revolver. Sorum is currently a member of the touring project, Kings of Chaos, and is a former member of both The Cult and Y Kant Tori Read. Chris Fehn
Christopher Fehn (born February 24, 1973) is an American musician. He was a percussionist and backing vocalist for the heavy metal band Slipknot from 1998 to 2019, in which he was designated #3. He was also the bassist for Will Haven from 2010 to 2012. Career Slipknot Fehn grew up in Ankeny, Iowa. Prior to joining Slipknot, he played as a kicker on the Wayne State University football team. Fehn joined the band around August (or September) 1998, replacing percussionist Brandon Darner. Chuck Garric is an American rock bassist who has played with Turd, The Druts, L.A. Guns, Dio, and Eric Singer Project (ESP). Ben Ward (born 2 December 1974) is a British musician who has been the singer of Orange Goblin since 1997. Ward had wanted to become a footballer for Queens Park Rangers, but, inspired by Lemmy and Bruce Dickinson, “discovered heavy metal, booze and drugs, so football fell by the wayside”.
