Olaf D. Thommessen
Olaf Dobloug Thommessen (7 November 1906 – 1966) was a Norwegian bookseller. Personal life He was the youngest son of Anne and Rolf Thommessen, and thus a paternal grandson of Ola Thommessen and maternal grandson of Mikkel Dobloug. Together with Mimi Reimers (1906–1983) he had three sons, Rolf, (1930-2013), Henrik Peter Thommessen, (1931-2012) who married Annette Thommessen and Mikkel, (1945-) Mimi Reimers was a granddaughter of Herman Johan Foss Reimers and August Geelmuyden Spørck. Later he married Ellen Thykier, (1919-2016) and had a daughter, Trine, (1950-2011). Ellen Thykier was Danish and the daughter of the sculptor Niels Rasmussen Thykier and the physician Ellen Marie Kruse, Through his sister Susanna, Olaf D. Anne Thommessen
Anne Thommessen, née Dobloug (4 February 1880 – ??) was a Norwegian politician. Personal life and education She was born in Kristiania as a daughter of Mikkel Dobloug (1844–1913) and his wife Susanna, née Baashuus (1851–1931). She finished her secondary education with a private exam at Gjertsen's School in 1897. She later studied philology, but the studies were interrupted because of marriage. In October 1900 in Kristiania she married Rolf Thommessen. The couple eventually moved to Bærum, first to Ringstabekk. From 1908 they lived in Evje. At Evje farm they had one horse, two cattle, two pigs and 27 chicken. Anne Thommessen's marriage with Rolf Thommessen was dissolved in 1938. Through this marriage Anne was a daughter-in-law of Ola Thommessen, one of Norway's most important newspaper editors. ''Tidens Tegn'' (Norwegian: ''Sign of the Times'') is a former Norwegian newspaper, issued in Oslo from 1910 to 1941. Editors The founder and first editor-in-chief of ''Tidens Tegn'' was Ola Thommessen, who edited the newspaper until 1917. Thommessen had recently left the editor chair of ''Verdens Gang'' in protest, bringing much of ''Verdens Gang''´s staff with him. From 1917 to 1938 the editor-in-chief was Rolf Thommessen, son of the founder. Another son Bjørn Thommessen was central as well. Rolf Thommessen
Rolf Thommessen (22 July 1879 – 9 December 1939) was a Norwegian journalist, newspaper editor and politician. He edited the newspaper ''Tidens Tegn'' from 1917 to 1938. He was a member of the Parliament of Norway from 1928 to 1930, representing the Liberal Left Party ( no, Frisinnede Venstre). Personal life Rolf Thommessen was born in Kristiania as the son of newspaper editor Ola Thommessen (1851–1942) and his wife Helga Mathæa Clausen (1854–1931). He was a first cousin of Øystein Thommessen and a granduncle of musician Olav Anton Thommessen. He was married to Anne Dobloug, daughter of Mikkel Dobloug, between 1900 and 1938. He lived in Sandvika and Evje most of his life, and in Risør for a period before his death. He died in Oslo in 1939. August Geelmuyden Spørck (13 September 1851 – 14 July 1928) was a Norwegian military officer and politician for the Liberal Party. He is best known as the Norwegian Minister of Defence from 1909 to 1910. Career He was born in Kristiania. He became a military officer in 1872. Through the rifle associations he became affiliated with the Liberal Party. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1900, representing the constituency of ''Trondhjem og Levanger''.
