Oklahoma State Highway 150
State Highway 150 (abbreviated SH-150) is a state highway in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, in the United States. It is long, running diagonally from U.S. Highway 69 north of Eufaula in the southeast to Interstate 40 west of Checotah in the northwest. SH-150 provides access to Lake Eufaula and Lake Eufaula State Park. It has no lettered spur routes. SH-150 was established in the mid-1960s as a spur route connecting I-40 to the parklands surrounding Lake Eufaula. In the early 1970s, it was extended to reconnect with the state highway system, as it does today, at its south end. Route description State Highway 150 begins at an interchange with U.S. 69 north of Eufaula. East of the freeway, the roadbed continues as Texanna Road. Checotah is a town in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, United States. It was named for Samuel Checote, the first chief of the Creek Nation elected after the Civil War. Its population was 3,481 at the 2000 census. According to Census 2010, the population has decreased to 3,335; a 4.19% loss. Interstate 40 (I-40) is an Interstate Highway in Oklahoma that runs across the state from Texas to Arkansas. West of Oklahoma City, it parallels and replaces old U.S. Highway 66 (US-66), and, east of Oklahoma City, it parallels US-62, US-266, and US-64. I-40 is the longest Interstate highway in Oklahoma. Lake Eufaula, sometimes referred to as Eufaula Lake, is a reservoir in Oklahoma. It is located on the Canadian River, upstream from its confluence with the Arkansas River and near the town of Eufaula. Lake Eufaula State Park
Lake Eufaula State Park is a Oklahoma state park located in McIntosh County, Oklahoma on Lake Eufaula. It is southwest of Checotah. The park was formerly known as Fountainhead State Park. Fountainhead, together with the neighboring Arrowhead State Park, were created in 1965. Fountainhead's name was changed to Lake Eufaula State Park effective November 1, 2002. Arrowhead is now known as the Arrowhead Area at Lake Eufaula State Park. The park has a swimming area with a beach, and multiple boat ramps. Fishing is possible year-round, and a marina and a tackle shop are located within the park. OK-150 Shield
State Highway 15 (abbreviated SH-15 or OK-15) is the name for two once-connected state highways in Oklahoma. One begins at the Texas state line and runs for 47.1 miles (75.8 km) through Woodward; the other runs for 62.4 miles (100.4 km) between U.S. Highway 64/ U.S. Highway 412 and State Highway 18 north of Pawnee. Texanna is a census-designated place (CDP) in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 2,083 at the 2000 census. Established in District 12 of the old Indian Territory, its post office existed from June 27, 1888 until July 16, 1940. Texanna's population in the 1905 Territorial Census was 200. It is said to have been named for a settlement of Texas Cherokees. Residents of Texanna now have a Eufaula and Checotah postal address. Geography Texanna is located at (35.350928, -95.532556).
