Oklahoma City Slickers (ASL) Players
The Oklahoma City Slickers was the name given to two different American soccer clubs based in Oklahoma City. The first team competed in the second American Soccer League in 1982 and 1983, and as the Oklahoma City Stampede in the United Soccer League in 1984 and 1985. The second Oklahoma City Slickers competed in the USISL from 1993 to 1996. Oklahoma City Slickers (1982–85) In 1982, the first Oklahoma City Slickers joined the de facto second division American Soccer League. The Slickers went to the championship series, losing to the Detroit Express. Head coach Brian Harvey was the ASL Coach of the Year. In 1983, the Slickers finished last in the league. The American Soccer League collapsed following the 1983 season. This led to the creation of the United Soccer League in 1984. United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as United Soccer Leagues, is a soccer league in the United States and Canada. It organizes several men's and women's leagues, both professional and amateur. 1995 USISL Premier League Season
The 1995 USISL Premier League season was the 1st season of the new "fourth level" of American soccer following the re-organization of the old United States Interregional Soccer League at the end of 1994. The season began in April 1995 and ended in August 1995. Richmond Kickers finished the season as national champions, beating Cocoa Expos 3–1 in the USISL Premier League Championship game. San Francisco All-Blacks United finished with the best regular season record in the league, winning 17 out of their 18 games, suffering just one loss, and finishing with a +42 goal difference. The USISL Premier League format in 1995 was notable for not having tied games; instead, teams competed in a penalty shoot-out to decide a winner, with bonus points awarded as appropriate. 1994 United States Interregional Soccer League
The 1994 United States Interregional Soccer League was an outdoor season run by the United States Interregional Soccer League. Regular season Schedule Each team had a 20-game schedule, with two games counting as Designated Makeup Games (DMGs). DMGs are plugged in for any game that was cancelled during the season. Scoring Teams in the Northeast and Midwest have points that reflect the addition of a 1-point corner kick bonus per game. The standings published by the USISL list only the wins, losses, goals scored, goals allowed and total points. They do not provide the number of wins or losses that came through shootouts. Chico Villar
Nestor “Chico” Villar (born 13 March 1947) is a retired Peruvian-American soccer player and coach. He was a two-time Coach of the Year in the Southwest Indoor Soccer League. Coaching career Villar played professionally in Peru for seven years before moving to the United States in order to earn a master's degree in education at Oklahoma City University in 1971. He remained in the United States, coaching and playing at the amateur level. In 1983, he became an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Slickers of the American Soccer League. Lone Star Soccer Alliance was a soccer league that existed from 1987 to 1992. While most of the teams came from Texas, some also came from Oklahoma and Kansas. Delroy Allen (born 6 October 1958 Montego Bay, Jamaica) is a retired Jamaican-American soccer goalkeeper who played professionally in the North American Soccer League, American Soccer League and United Soccer League. Early life Allen attended boys elementary school in Montego Bay. He then moved to London, England in 1967. Allen attended Langford Elementary School and Henry Compton Secondary Boys School, Brown Jones House Fulham, London, England. Allen moved to the United States in 1974 and attended Midwood High School in Brooklyn, New York, where graduated in 1976.
