The Oklahoma City Public Schools, abbreviated OKCPS, is a multicultural public school district serving most of the urban area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is the second largest primary and secondary education district in the state of Oklahoma, after Tulsa Public Schools, with 66 schools and approximately 32,086 students enrolled students during the 2021–2022 school year. Dove Science Academy
Dove Schools is a college-preparatory charter school district in Oklahoma. It was founded and organized in 2000 by Sky Foundation, Inc. as a single middle school serving 218 students in grades 6–8. As of 2022, it serves just under 3000 students in grades K-12 at a total of 8 schools. Curriculum Dove Science Academy schools provide accelerated programs of learning, with students often having received the required number of high school credits for reception of a high school diploma by the 11th grade although they stay until the 12th grade to complete college level courses. Star Spencer High School
Star Spencer High School is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1901 a group of people from Spencer County, Indiana relocated in Oklahoma. They built an elevator and mill, a grocery store and later a hardware store. They named their new town Spencer for their old home and eventually called their school Spencer as well. Star School (in a nearby area) was named by Henry Dodd in honor of a school in Kansas where he had lived previously. Two schools merged to become Star Spencer in 1956. Southeast High School is a high school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that opened in 1950. The school closed in 1990, but was reopened and remodeled in 1994 as a magnet school with an emphasis on four new technology programs. Being a magnet school, students must fill out an application and be admitted to the school, regardless of the school district in which they reside. When the school reopened in 1994, it was still undergoing renovations. Shortly after classes started, it became apparent that it would be necessary to choose an alternate site for students until the construction was complete. Harding Fine Arts Academy (HFAA) is a college preparatory high school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is sponsored by the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
