Okean-class Patrol Ship
The Okean class, Russian designation Project 22100 ''Okean'' (ocean), is a class of oceanic patrol vessels being constructed by Zelenodolsk Shipyard for the Russian Coast Guard. The vessels of this class are intended for protection of Russia's exclusive economic zone (EEZ), providing support to combat and rescue missions, fire fighting or fisheries protection. Apart from this, the ships will be involved in ensuring actions of the FSB of Russia by fighting terrorism and piracy, goods smuggling, drug trafficking or illegal migration. Design The project 22100 has a displacement of 2700 tons and a maximum speed up to 21 knots. The ships of the class are armed with a single AK-176M 76 mm gun on the bow, and two 14.5 mm machine guns on the sides. AK-176
The AK-176 is a Soviet naval gun mounted in an enclosed turret, that may be used against sea, coastal, and aerial targets, including low flying anti-ship missiles. The system is designed to arm small displacement ships and comprises the Gun Mount with a MR-123-02/76 Fire Control Radar System. It has high survivability owing to autonomous use of the gun mount controlled from the optical sight in the absence of control from the radar system, as well as a capability for fire even if power supply is lost. Design The gun is fed by 152 ready to fire rounds and has selectable rates of fire of 30, 60 and 120 rounds per minute. The 120 r.p.m. rate is achieved by firing a burst of 75, but afterwards the gun has to cool off for 30 minutes. The KPV-14.5 heavy machine gun (KPV is an initialism for Krupnokaliberniy Pulemyot Vladimirova (Large-caliber Machine gun Vladimirov), in Russian as Крупнокалиберный Пулемёт Владимирова, or КПВ) is a Soviet designed 14.5×114mm-caliber heavy machine gun, which first entered service as an infantry weapon (designated ''PKP'') in 1949. The Kamov Ka-27 (NATO reporting name 'Helix') is a military helicopter developed for the Soviet Navy, and currently in service in various countries including Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, China, South Korea, and India. Variants include the Ka-29 assault transport, the Ka-28 downgraded export version, and the Ka-32 for civilian use.
