Marios Oikonomou ( el, Μάριος Οικονόμου; born 6 October 1992) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. Dimitrios Oikonomou
Dimitrios Oikonomou ( el, Δημήτριος Οικονόμου; 4 June 1883 – 11 September 1957) was a Hellenic Navy admiral. After fighting as a junior officer in the Balkan Wars, he was a convinced royalist and was dismissed from service in 1917–20. Reinstated, he held various ship and senior commands during the interwar period, including serving as Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff in 1935–36. In the latter post he was among the leaders of the military coup of 10 October 1935 that overthrew the Second Hellenic Republic and restored the Greek monarchy. Career Dimitrios Oikonomou was born in Chalcis on 4 June 1883, the son of Alexandros Oikonomou. Antonis Oikonomou
Antonis Oikonomou ( el, Αντώνης Οικονόμου; 1785 – 16 December 1821) was a Greek naval captain in the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire. Life Antonis was born in Hydra and became a sailor in a young age. Just before the start of the Greek War of Independence his ship sunk near Gibraltar. He then travelled to Constantinople to commission a new ship and there he was recruited to the Filiki Eteria by Papaflessas. In the meantime, in Hydra, the leaders of the island did not want to lose their privileges given to them by the Ottomans, so initially they didn't join the revolution. Antonis, with the help of the members of Filiki Eteria from the Peloponnese, landed on the island (30 March 1821) and expelled the governor, Nikolaos Kokovilas. Vangelis Ikonomou ( el, Βαγγέλης Οικονόμου, born 18 July 1987) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Cypriot club Karmiotissa. Nikolaos "Nikos" Oikonomou (alternate spellings: Ikonomou, Ekonomou) (Greek: Νικόλαος "Νίκος" Οικονόμου; born February 19, 1973) is a retired Greek professional basketball player, and a current professional basketball coach. Thomas Oikonomou (Greek: Θωμάς Οικονόμου, 1864–1927) was a Greek actor and one of the first modern Greek directors. Biography Son of the writer Aristeidos Oikonomou, Oikonomou was born in Vienna, Austria in what was then a part of Austrian Empire in 1864 and studied and begun his career as an actor. He arrived in Greece in 1900-1901 and begun as a professor at the Dramatic School what was then Royal Theatre and (after the separation of Angelos Vlahos) as a director. He knew the young Marika Kotopouli who he acted together in an erotic part and became a protagonist of that company. Pavlos Oikonomou-Gouras ( el, Παύλος Οικονόμου-Γκούρας, 3 November 1897 – 27 April 1991) was a Greek diplomat and thrice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece. Michalis Oikonomou (also Mihalis Ikonomou or Michael Economou; Greek: Μιχάλης Οικονόμου, 1888–1933) was a Greek impressionist painter. He was born in 1888 in Piraeus in the Attica prefecture (then Attica-Viotia) and went to school there. His first art teacher was Konstantinos Volanakis. In 1906, he moved to Paris, where he studied shipbuilding, and also attended art school there.
