State Route 292 (SR 292) is a two-lane north–south state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The southern terminus of the highway is at a diamond interchange with the U.S. Route 33 (US 33) expressway approximately southeast of the village of Zanesfield. Its northern terminus is at a Y-intersection with SR 31 just south of the city limits of Kenton. Route description SR 292 travels through the northeastern quadrant of Logan County and the southern portion of Hardin County. No segment of the highway is incorporated within the National Highway System. Mount Victory is a village in Hardin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 601 at the 2020 census. History The town site of Mount Victory was surveyed in 1851, one year before the railroad was extended to that point. Zane Caverns
The Zane Shawnee Caverns is a cave system in Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio, United States. The caverns are show caves owned by the nonprofit United Remnant Band of the Shawnee Nation as of 1995. These caverns are located between Zanesfield and Bellefontaine, Ohio, near the Ohio Caverns. Both cave systems were formed by the same glacial process which deposited moraine upon nearby Campbell Hill. History and site features The land adjacent to Zane Shawnee Caverns was historically used as a thoroughfare by the Shawnee, as it provided a portage between the Great Miami River and the rivers feeding into Lake Erie (particularly the Maumee River). The caverns were not generally known until they were discovered in 1892, when John Dunlap rescued a boy and a dog from a sinkhole. Mad River Mountain
Mad River Mountain is a ski and snowboard resort in Valley Hi, Ohio, United States. The elevation of Mad River Mountain is with a vertical drop of , and it has a ski season that runs from approximately mid-December through mid-March. The resort, which opened in 1962 as Valley Hi Ski Area, is owned and operated by Vail Resorts, who bought the resort from Peak Resorts in 2019. Zanesfield, Ohio
Zanesfield is a village in Logan County, Ohio, United States of America. The population was 197 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest incorporated village in Logan County. History Zanesfield is named for Isaac Zane, who was born in 1753 in what was then Berkeley County, Virginia, and is now Hardy County, West Virginia. He was the youngest brother of Ebenezer Zane, for whom Zanesville, Ohio, is named. In 1762 at the age of nine, Isaac was captured by Native Americans of the Wyandot tribe and adopted into the tribe. He lived with them along the Sandusky River for seventeen years. He married ''Myeerah'' (White Crane), daughter of Chief ''Tarhe''. They had several children.
