Ogoh Odaudu
Ogoh Odaudu (born 3 August 1981) is a Nigerian retired basketball player and current coach. He currently is the head coach of Rivers Hoopers of the Nigerian Premier League (basketball), Nigerian Premier League (NPL). In his playing years, Odaudu was a player of the Nigeria national basketball team. Odaudu has led the Rivers Hoopers as head coach since 2009 and has led them to five NPL titles. Playing career Born in Jos, he has played for the junior Nigeria national basketball team, Nigerian national team at the 1999 FIBA Under-19 World Championship. Odaudu was a member of the Nigeria national basketball team, Nigerian senior team and played with the team at the 2001 FIBA Africa Championship, 2001, 2003 FIBA Africa Championship, 2003 editions of FIBA AfroBasket, FIBA Africa Championship. He also played at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. 2021 BAL Season
The 2021 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 1, was the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established as a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and FIBA, the BAL is the highest tier continental league of Africa, replacing the FIBA Africa Basketball League. The 2019 FIBA AfroCan was the inaugural edition of the AfroCan, a men's basketball continental competition of Africa. Nigerian Premier League (basketball)
The Nigerian Premier Basketball League, often abbreviated to the NPL, is the pre-eminent men's professional basketball league in Nigeria. The league consists of sixteen teams who are categorized into two conferences based on the geographical location. These conferences are Savannah and the Atlantic. The league was sponsored by the DSTV until 2017, who had both title and TV rights through the contract agreement. The league was then referred to as the DSTV Premier Basketball League. Format The league usually spans from March till mid year. Each team plays a total of 14 games in a regular season after which the top four teams qualify for the Final Eight Playoffs which usually takes place at the National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
