Officer is a satellite suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 48 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District and the council seat of the Shire of Cardinia. Officer recorded a population of 18,503 at the 2021 census. Officer serves as the Council seat of the shire. Electoral district of Pakenham is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. It was recreated in the redistribution of electoral boundaries in 2021, and was re-contested at the 2022 Victorian state election. Boon Wurrung
The Boonwurrung people are an Aboriginal people of the Kulin nation, who are the traditional owners of the land from the Werribee River to Wilsons Promontory in the Australian state of Victoria. Their territory includes part of what is now the city and suburbs of Melbourne. They were called the Western Port or Port Philip tribe by the early settlers, and were in alliance with other tribes in the Kulin nation, having particularly strong ties to the Wurundjeri people. The Registered Aboriginal Party representing the Boonwurrung people is the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation. Language Boonwurrung is one of the Kulin languages, and belongs to the Pama-Nyungan language family. Richmond Football Club
The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. Richmond's headquarters and training facilities are located at its original home ground, the Punt Road Oval, which sits adjacent to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the club's playing home since 1965. Greg Tivendale
Greg Tivendale (born 19 April 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). Recruited from the Gippsland Power and Rythdale-Officer-Cardinia Football Club, Tivendale debuted in 1998 with the Richmond Football Club and was noted for talents including his long-kicking and long-range goals of his left boot. In Round 20, 2006, as the Tigers defeated Carlton by 45 points, Tivendale was awarded the second Terry Wallace Medal for best afield in Richmond's tenth win for the season. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Officer Railway Station
Officer railway station is located on the Pakenham line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Officer, and it opened on 4 August 1881 as Officer's Siding. It was renamed Officer on 13 February 1899. History Officer station opened on 4 August 1881, almost four years after the line was extended from Dandenong to Pakenham. Like the suburb itself, the station was named after Robert Officer, a local pastoralist. Another theory is that the station and suburb were named after the Officer family, who were originally from Deniliquin, New South Wales. The Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (abbreviated "MPNFL") is an Australian rules football competition, governed by the AFL South East. The MPNFL contains teams near the south eastern region of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Cardinia is a town in Victoria, Australia, 52 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shire of Cardinia local government area.
