Odhran O'Dwyer is a Gaelic footballer from County Clare. He plays at senior level for the Clare county team and won a Tommy Murphy Cup in 2004. He also played for Ireland in the 2003 International Rules Series. At club level, he plays with Kilmurry Ibrickane. Kilmurry Ibrickane GAA
Kilmurry-Ibrickane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Clare, Ireland. The club only plays gaelic football, and were Clare Senior Football Champions last in 2020, and won the Munster Senior Club Football Championship in 2004 and 2009. History A club bearing the parish name came into existence in 1914. Prior to this a team from the village of Coore reached the senior county final in 1890, losing to Ennis Dalcassians. In 1924 the club reached its first senior county final, losing to Kilrush Shamrocks. In 1933 the club won its first Clare Senior Football Championship defeating St. Senan's, Kilkee in the final. In 1935 two teams from the parish competed in a historic county final with Quilty the victors. Quilty retained their title in 1936 defeating Kilrush Shamrocks in the final, before losing to them in the 1937 final. The Clare county football team represents Clare in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Clare GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Munster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League. Tommy Murphy Cup
The Tommy Murphy Cup was a Gaelic football competition, featuring senior county teams eliminated from the early stages of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and also Kilkenny when not fielding a team in the main All-Ireland. The series of games, organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association, were played during the summer months with the final being played in August at Croke Park. The Cup was named after Tommy Murphy, a footballer from County Laois who was, appropriately for the competition, the only member of the Team of the Millennium from a county which had not won an All-Ireland. Later changes to the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship meant that the 2008 Tommy Murphy Cup featured the eight lowest-ranking teams in National Football League, unless the teams reached the final of their respective provincial championships. 2003 International Rules Series
The 2003 International Rules Series was the 10th annual International Rules Series and the sixth time a test series of international rules football has been played between Australia and Ireland since the series resumed in 1998. Despite both teams each winning a match, the series was won by Australia on an aggregate score line of 101−94 points. In doing so, the Australians recorded their third series win in the two-test format, their first consecutive series win following their seven-point aggregate win in 2002 and their first ever series victory on home soil. The Clare Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition organised by Clare GAA between the top twelve gaelic football clubs in County Clare, Ireland. The winners represent the county in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which progress to the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. The Clare SFC final is generally held in the month of October and is played at Cusack Park in Ennis. The Munster Senior Club Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Football Senior Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition for the champion clubs of each county. It has been organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964. The series of games are played during the autumn and winter months with the final usually being played in late November. The prize for the winning team is the O'Connor Cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship.
