Odette Kahn (, 1923–1982) was a leading authority on wine and editor of the ''La Revue du vin de France'' (Review of French wine) and of ''Cuisine et Vins de France'' (Food and Wines of France). She was a judge at the historic Paris Wine Tasting of 1976. Kahn was outraged at the results of the tasting, unsuccessfully demanded her ballot back, refused later to speak to organizer Steven Spurrier after the event, claimed fraud, and wrote disparagingly about the wine competition. This event was later portrayed in the movie ''Bottle Shock''. Biography Kahn was an expert in the field of French gastronomy and wines, for which she was a well-known ambassador throughout the world. Odette Piñeiro (born July 28, 1965 in Manatí, Puerto Rico) is the former Secretary of Puerto Rico Department of Education, appointed by Governor Luis Fortuño on December 14, 2009, confirmed by the Senate of Puerto Rico on December 18, 2009 and sworn in by Secretary of State Kenneth McClintock on December 30, 2009. She succeeded Dr. Carlos A. Chardón, who served as Fortuño's first Secretary of Education, and served until her resignation on May 28, 2010. Odette Myrtil (born Odette Laure Clotilde Quignarde; June 28, 1898 – November 18, 1978) was a French-born American actress, singer, and violinist. She began her career as a violinist on the vaudeville stage in Paris at 14. She expanded into acting and singing and had her first major success at 18 on the London stage in the 1916 musical revue ''The Bing Boys Are Here''. She was a staple in Broadway productions from 1924 to 1932, after which she returned only periodically to Broadway through 1960.
