Oddvar Torsheim
Oddvar Torsheim (born 2 November 1938) is a Norwegian painter, illustrator and musician. Torsheim was born in Bergen to teachers Herman Johan Torsheim and Jenny Pauline Høvik. Among his publications are ''Syner i syttiåra'' from 1980, and ''Svarte kvitingar i 80-åra'' from 1988. His book illustrations include Cindy Haug's children's book ''Her der – helt nær'' from 1983 and Ingvar Moe's essay collection ''Frå oppvaskkummen'', and he recorded the music albums ''Nynorskens skog'' in 1992 and ''Tur-retur Blues'' in 2000. Oddvar Stenstrøm (born 5 March 1946) is a Norwegian journalist and former host of the TV2 debate program ''Holmgang''. Stenstrøm has worked in a number of different journals and news channels, including the local newspaper '' Akers Avis''/'' Groruddalens Budstikke'', the national tabloids ''Dagbladet'' and ''Verdens Gang'' (the latter as head of foreign news) and as news editor for ''Aftenposten''. In television media, Stenstrøm has had several jobs for NRK between 1975 and 1987, and for TV2 from 1992. For NRK he has been the Washington D.C. correspondent, and head of the editorial board for the news broadcasts. For TV2 Stenstrøm was the editorial project leader from 1991 to 1992, before becoming Washington correspondent in 1997. Oddvar Brå
Oddvar Brå (born 16 March 1951) is a Norwegian former cross-country skier. He was among the best skiers in Norway, the three-times winner of the World Cup (1972–73, then named "World ranking", 1974–75 and 1978–79) and the winner of 16 national championships. His success in the major international championships was more modest. Career Brå participated in the 1972 Winter Olympics and the 1991 Holmenkollen ski festival, but his first individual major international win was at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo, where he won the 15 km event. In this championship, he also tied for the gold medal with Alexander Zavyalov of the Soviet Union in the relay after a dramatic finish in which his pole broke. This event remained in the memory of most Norwegians, leading to the popular all-Norwegian expression "Hvor var du da Brå brakk staven?" ("Where were you when Brå’s pole broke?").
