Bill Oddie
William Edgar Oddie (born 7 July 1941) is an English writer, comedian, songwriter, musician, artist, birder, conservationist, television presenter and actor. He was a member of comedy trio The Goodies. A birder since his childhood in Quinton, Birmingham, Oddie has established a reputation as a naturalist, conservationist, and television presenter on wildlife issues. Some of his books are illustrated with his own paintings and drawings. His wildlife programmes for the BBC include ''Springwatch'' and ''Autumnwatch'', '' How to Watch Wildlife'', ''Wild in Your Garden'', '' Birding with Bill Oddie'', ''Britain Goes Wild with Bill Oddie'' and ''Bill Oddie Goes Wild''. Lily Oddie
Lily Oddie (September 27, 1937 – April 6, 2021), formerly known as Lily Munro, was a former provincial politician in Ontario, Canada. She is best known for having been involved in a fundraising scandal involving Patti Starr. Oddie married prominent Liberal politician John Munro on June 27, 1978, and took his surname. John Munro's career would also be undone by scandal in the 1980s, although he was later exonerated of any wrongdoing. The couple would later divorce, at which time Oddie returned to using her original name. Oddie died at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, on April 6, 2021. Tasker Oddie
Tasker Lowndes Oddie (October 20, 1870 – February 17, 1950) was an American attorney and politician who served as the 12th Governor of Nevada and a United States Senator. He was a member of the Republican Party. Biography Oddie was born on October 20, 1870, in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from New York University Law School with an LL.B. in 1895 and practiced law in New York until 1898, when he moved to Nevada to become the attorney and business agent for the wealthy Stokes family. He joined the Nevada Bar in 1898. Career Oddie moved to and made his fortune in the 1900 silver boom in Tonopah, becoming manager of the Tonopah Mining Company. He was the Nye County District Attorney from 1900 to 1902. He was a member of the Nevada State Senate from 1903 to 1906. Henry Oddie
Henry Hoyle Oddie (31 January 1815 – 21 May 1869) was an English lawyer, landowner, and a cricketer who played first-class cricket for Cambridge University between 1834 and 1836. Early life Oddie was born in London on 31 January 1815. He was the son of Henry Hoyle Oddie, and the former Georgina Thellusson (–), the daughter of George Woodford Thellusson. Oddie was educated at Eton College and Trinity College, Cambridge. Career He played as batsman in seven first-class matches for the Cambridge side over three seasons; he batted in the middle and lower order, though not with any success in any position as his highest score was just 14 and he averaged just 5.57 with the bat. There is no record that he bowled in first-class cricket. In 1836, he played in the university match against Oxford University, scoring 9 and 3 and taking his only recorded catch.
