Odai Al-Hindawi
Odai Al-Hindawi ( ar, عدي الهنداوي; born 28 July 1991) is a Jordanian amateur boxer. He competed at the 2019 World Championships and later qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics, both at light heavyweight. He also won a middleweight silver medal at the 2014 Asian Games. Career Al-Hindawi's first major international tournament was the 2013 Asian Championships, which were held in Jordan. He lost his first match against Yang Yu-Ting of Taiwan. Al-Hindawi earned a silver medal in the middleweight event at the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea, losing to 2013 World Champion Janibek Alimkhanuly in the finals. For his performances, he was nominated as a finalist for the Black Iris award for the Jordanian sportsman of the year. In 2018, Al-Hindawi won a bronze medal at the Arab Championships in April before winning gold at the International Elite Boxing Tournament in Algeria the following month. Janibek Alimkhanuly (also spelled as Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, born 1 April 1993) is a Kazakhstani professional boxer who has held the WBO middleweight title since August 2022. As an amateur he won gold medals at the 2013 World Championships, 2013 Asian Championships and 2014 Asian Games. He also represented Kazakhstan at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the middleweight division, losing in the quarter-finals. Early life Alimkhanuly began boxing at the age of six because of his father and grandfather's love of the sport. His first fight was at six and he lost that match. BoxRec or boxrec.com is a website dedicated to holding updated records of professional and amateur boxers, both male and female. It also maintains a MediaWiki-based encyclopaedia of boxing. The objective of the site is to document every professional boxer and boxing match from the instigation of the Queensberry Rules up to the present times. Bekzad Nurdauletov (born 10 April 1998) is a Kazakh professional boxer. As an amateur, he won the gold medal at the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships. Amateur boxing career Nurdauletov competed in the light heavyweight category of the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships, which took place between 9 and 21 September 2019.
