Océane Michelon
Océane Michelon (born 4 March 2002) is a French biathlete. She has competed in the Biathlon World Cup since 2024. Career Océane Michelon gained her first international experience at the 2020 Youth World Championships in Lenzerheide, where she won bronze in the sprint behind Linda Zingerle and Liubov Kalinina. After another participation in the Youth World Championships the following year, the French athlete made her debut in the IBU Cup in January 2022 in Osrblie, achieving her first top-10 result in the individual event. She also participated in the European Championships at Arber, narrowly missing a medal in the mixed relay by just over ten seconds. In the sprint and pursuit events, she finished twelfth in both. Michelon won two more medals at the Junior World Championships: first in the individual event behind Lisa Maria Spark, and shortly after with the women's relay behind Italy and Germany. Oberhof is a town in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district of Thuringia, Germany. Located in the Thuringian Forest mountain range, it is a winter sports center and health resort. Sjusjøen is a cross country skiing destination in the municipality of Ringsaker in Innlandet county, Norway. Situated on the mountain plateau south of Sjusjøen is Hedmarksvidda. The area is located with forest and mountain terrain about above sea level. This area is located about east of the town of Lillehammer. The area is the site of many holiday cottages plus a hotel and a youth hostel for accommodation. The 2023–24 Biathlon IBU Cup was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union (IBU). It was the 16th edition for men and women of the second-rank international race series in biathlon after the Biathlon World Cup. The season started on 30 November 2023 in Kontiolahti, Finland and concluded on 9 March 2024 in Obertilliach, Austria.
