Ochirbatyn Burmaa
Ochirbatyn Burmaa ( mn, Очирбатын Бурмаа; born 28 May 1982) is a Mongolian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 72 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she defeated Leah Callahan in the 1/8 finals and was eliminated by Maider Unda in the quarterfinals. She also competed in this weight category at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she finished in 10th place. Maider Unda Gonzalez de Audikana (born 2 July 1977 in Vitoria, Spain) is a Basque Spanish retired female freestyle wrestler. She participated in Women's freestyle wrestling 72 kg at the 2008 Summer Olympics. In the 1/8 final she beat Oksana Vashchuk (Ukraine). In the quarter-final she lost to Stanka Zlateva (Bulgaria). In the repechage round, after beating Canadian Ohenewa Akuffo she lost to Agnieszka Wieszczek in the bronze medal match. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Unda won the bronze medal in Women's freestyle wrestling 72 kg. In the 1/8 final she beat Ana Betancur from Colombia, and Ochirbatyn Burmaa from Mongolia in the quarter-final. She lost in the semi-final against Stanka Zlateva but beat Vasilisa Marzaliuk (Belarus) for the bronze medal. On 9 November 2016, Unda announced her retirement from wrestling after failing to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Freestyle wrestling is a style of wrestling originated from Great Britain and the United States. Along with Greco-Roman, it is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympic Games. American high school and men's college wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed scholastic and collegiate wrestling. American collegiate women's wrestling is conducted under freestyle rules. Freestyle wrestling, like collegiate wrestling, has its greatest origins in catch-as-catch-can wrestling. In both styles the ultimate goal is to throw and pin the opponent to the mat, which results in an immediate win. Unlike Greco-Roman, freestyle and collegiate wrestling allow the use of the wrestler's or the opponent's legs in offense and defense. Ivan Sergeyevich Yarygin ( rus, Иван Сергеевич Ярыгин, p=ɪˈvan sʲɪrˈɡʲe(j)ɪvʲɪtɕ jɪˈrɨɡʲɪn; 7 November 1948 – 11 October 1997) was a Soviet and Russian heavyweight freestyle wrestler. Between 1970 and 1980 he won all his major international competitions, except for the 1970 and 1974 European championships where he placed second. Yarygin was an Olympic champion in 1972 and 1976, being the first wrestler to go through an Olympic competition with straight pin victories and no foul points, a world champion in 1973, a World Cup winner five times, has never lost a single match in World Cup competition, and a European champion in 1972 and 1975–76, and won a world cup in 1973, 1976–77 and 1979–80.
