Ocean Grove (band)
Ocean Grove are an Australian nu metal band formed in 2010. The band consists of vocalist Dale Tanner, drummer/producer Sam Bassal and bassist/vocalist Twiggy Hunter. Studio-only member Running Touch also provides synthesizers and additional production. As of 2022, the band has released three studio albums; ''The Rhapsody Tapes'' (2017), ''Flip Phone Fantasy'' (2020), and ''Up In The Air Forever'' (2022); along with two EP's; ''Outsider'' (2013) and ''Black Label'' (2015) History 2010–2016: Formation and EPs Ocean Grove were formed in 2010 in Melbourne, originally as a post-hardcore band by Luke Holmes (lead vocals), Dale Tanner (vocals/bass), Running Touch, Jimmy Hall (guitar) and Matias Morales (drums). Ocean Grove is a seaside town in Victoria, Australia, located on the Bellarine Peninsula. At the 2016 census, Ocean Grove had a population of 14,165. History In 1869, American Methodists established a permanent religious camp community on the coast at Ocean Grove, New Jersey, in the United States of America. It was so successful that they decided to spread their camps overseas, including to Australia. Following a collaboration with the Victorian Methodists, an initial camp was set up near Point Lonsdale. By 1882 they needed to acquire a larger area, so they could establish their Australian Ocean Grove community. The site chosen was on the eastern side of the mouth of the Barwon River, overlooking Bass Strait. Ocean Grove, also known as Tomahawk, is a suburb in the southeast of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. A semi-rural residential suburb on the Pacific coast at the southwestern end of the Otago Peninsula, Ocean Grove is located southeast of Dunedin city centre.
