Occupational Outlook Handbook
The ''Occupational Outlook Handbook'' (OOH) is a publication of the United States Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics that includes information about the nature of work, working conditions, training and education, earnings and job outlook for hundreds of different occupations in the United States. It is released biennially with a companion publication, the '' Career Guide to Industries'' and is available free of charge from thBureau of Labor Statistics' website!-- dverty:, where there is easy searchability, browsing options, and an alphabetical index. Global Career Development Facilitator
Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) is a certification from the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), a Certification Entity, for persons working in career development and advisory fields. There is an official list of CCE Approved Providers of Training cited below. The certification requires over 120 hours plus educational and experience requirements. It is an evolution of the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification developed in response to a RFP from the National Occupational Information Coordinating Committee (NOICC) during 1992. The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) System is a United States government system of classifying occupations. It is used by U.S. federal government agencies collecting occupational data, enabling comparison of occupations across data sets. It is designed to cover all occupations in which work is performed for pay or profit, reflecting the current occupational structure in the United States. The 2010 SOC includes 840 occupational types. Users of occupational data include government program managers, industrial and labor relations practitioners, students considering career training, job seekers, vocational training schools, and employers wishing to set salary scales or locate a new plant. In Personality type, personality typology, the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspection, introspective self-report study, self-report questionnaire indicating differing Psychology, psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.
