Oboý
Oboý (russian: Обой) is a small settlement in Bereket District, Balkan Province in western Turkmenistan. Overview The settlement is located south-west of Bereket, the capital of Bereket District. Oboy is located near Kyurendag Ridge which is the most western foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. The highest point of Kyurendag ridge is . The climate in the village is largely affected by Karakum Desert. Oboý Railway Station Bereket Railway Station (Oboý demirýol menzili) is the small railway station located 2 km from Oboy settlement. It was built in 2014. The station is operated by the Türkmendemirýollary. Oboý Station is one of the railways stations located on the North-South Transnational Railway (Russia - Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan - Iran - Persian Gulf. Bereket District
Bereket District ( tk, Bereket etraby) (formerly Gazanjyk District) is a district of Balkan Region in Turkmenistan. The administrative center of the district is the city of Bereket. Kopetdag
The Köpet Dag, Kopet Dagh, or Koppeh Dagh ( tk, Köpetdag; fa, کپهداغ), also known as the Turkmen-Khorasan Mountain Range, is a mountain range on the border between Turkmenistan and Iran that extends about along the border southeast of the Caspian Sea, stretching northwest-southeast from near the Caspian Sea in the northwest to the Harirud River in the southeast. In the southwest it borders on the parallel eastern endings of the Alborz mountains being together part of the much larger Alpide belt.
