Lake Ober-See (german: Obersee, "Upper Lake") is a permanently-frozen glacial meltwater lake lying between Sjøneset Spur and Mount Seekopf in the Gruber Mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. Obersee (Königssee)
The Obersee is a natural lake in the extreme southeast Berchtesgadener Land district of the German state of Bavaria, near the Austrian border. All of the lake is within the Berchtesgaden National Park. It is located southeast of the much larger Königssee. The Obersee (German for "Upper Lake"), also known as Upper Lake Constance, is the much larger of the two parts of Lake Constance, the other part being the Untersee ("Lower Lake"). Geography The Obersee has an area of 473 km² in size and extends for 63 km between Bregenz and Bodman-Ludwigshafen. Its maximum width is 14 km. It drains through the Seerhein in Constance into the Untersee. Its main inflow is the Alpine Rhine. The Obersee near Simmerath in the borough of Aachen is the main forebay of the Rur Reservoir on the River Rur in the Eifel mountains of Germany. Its barrier is the Paulushofdamm. The reservoir, like that of the Rur Dam, belongs to the Eifel-Rur Water Company (''Wasserverband Eifel-Rur''). The reservoir provides drinking water. Location The dam system, which comprises the ''Paulushofdamm'' and ''Obersee'', lies in the Rur Eifel, a part of the North Eifel, southwest of the Kermeter, north of the Dreiborn Plateau and east of the Monschau Hedge Land near Simmerath (borough of Aachen). Tegernsee (lake)
The Tegernsee is a ''Zungenbecken'' lake in the Bavarian Alps in southern Germany. The lake is the centre of a popular recreation area south-east of Munich. Resorts on the lake include the eponymous Tegernsee, as well as Bad Wiessee, Kreuth, Gmund, and Rottach-Egern. The lake is some in length, with a width of and an area of . Weitsee
Weitsee is a small lake on between Reit im Winkl and Ruhpolding with an area of 63.60 ha and a maximum depth of 9.30 m. The lake itself is separated into a shallow western and a deeper eastern part by a mountain peninsula. It is the first lake in the Dreiseengebiet (Three Lake Area) followed by the Mittersee and Lödensee. The lakes are located in the valley between the Gurnwandkopf und Dürrnbachhorn next to the Deutsche Alpenstraße B305 (German Alpine Street). Only a few small tributaries bring water to the lake; most of the water comes from a 5 m deep spring which is located at the narrowest part of the lake. All the water from the outflow of the lake ends in seepage at the end of the Lödensee after it has gone through Mittersee.
