Obasanjo Family
Chief Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Ogunboye Aremu Obasanjo, , ( ; yo, Olúṣẹ́gun Ọbásanjọ́ ; born 5 March 1937) is a Nigerian political and military leader who served as Nigeria's head of state from 1976 to 1979 and later as its president from 1999 to 2007. Ideologically a Nigerian nationalist, he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 1999 to 2015, and from 2018 has been a member of the African Democratic Congress party (ADC). Born in the village of Ibogun-Olaogun to a farming family of the Owu branch of the Yoruba, Obasanjo was educated largely in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Joining the Nigerian Army, where he specialised in engineering, he spent time assigned in the Congo, Britain, and India, rising to the rank of major. In the latter part of the 1960s, he played a senior role in combating Biafran separatists during the Nigerian Civil War, accepting their surrender in 1970. Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Dan Etete (born 26 January 1945) aka Chief Dauzia Loya Etete, was the former Nigerian Minister of Petroleum (1995–1998), under the regime of Gen. Sani Abacha's 1995 and was convicted as a money-launderer in the year 2007. Biography Dan Etete, was found guilty of money laundering by a French court in 2007. Mons Officer Cadet School was a British military training establishment for officer cadets in Aldershot from 1942 to 1972, when it was closed and all officer training concentrated at Sandhurst. Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello
Iyabo Obasanjo (born 27 April 1967) is a former Nigerian senator and the daughter of former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo and his wife Oluremi Obasanjo. Mojisola Adekunle-Obasanjo
Mojisola Adekunle-Obasanjo (10 August 1944 – 4 June 2009) was a Major in the Nigerian army. She founded the party Masses Movement of Nigeria in 1998 and later ran for the Presidency under the party Masses Movement of Nigeria (MMN) in 2003. She was on the ballot as the only female contender for the 2007 presidential elections. She was also an ex-wife (1991–1998) of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Adekunle-Obasanjo died on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at her daughter-Adetokunbo's residence in Ikoyi Lagos after a brief illness. She survived by four children and numerous grandchildren. Stella Obasanjo (14 November 1945 – 23 October 2005) was the First Lady of Nigeria from 1999 until her death. Esther Oluremi Obasanjo also known as Mama Iyabo is a former Nigerian First Lady. She was previously married to President Olusegun Obasanjo.
