Oakville Waterfront Festival
The Oakville Waterfront Festival was an annual festival in Oakville, Ontario from 1992 to 2009, which was revived for one time in 2013. During its run, Oakville Waterfront Festival attracted a diverse audience of as many as 50,000 annually. The festival featured concerts, a community stage, craft show, children's village, theme park, interactive games and more. Justin Hines
Justin Hines is a Canadian singer-songwriter who was born in Newmarket, Ontario. Hines has a rare genetic joint condition called Larsen's syndrome and uses a power wheelchair. He is a strong supporter of numerous charities and has performed at many fund raising events. He founded the Justin Hines Foundation, a charitable foundation for people with disabilities. Hannah Georgas (born 30 August 1983) is a Canadian pop/rock singer-songwriter, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Lindi Ortega (born May 28, 1980) is a Canadian country singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario, who had lived in Nashville, Tennessee then moved to Western Canada in 2017. She spent nearly a decade as an independent artist in the Toronto music scene, releasing two albums and an EP in that time. Corb Lund is a Canadian country and western singer-songwriter from Taber, Alberta, Canada. He has released eleven albums, three of which are certified gold. Lund tours regularly in Canada, the United States and Australia, and has received several awards in Canada and abroad. Biography Corb Lund grew up in Southern Alberta living on his family's farm and ranches near Taber, Cardston and Rosemary. Lund left his hometown of Taber and moved to Edmonton, where he enrolled in the Grant MacEwan College to study jazz guitar and bass. Lund was a founding member of The Smalls. The band found their break when they set up their equipment (using a generator) and played for concertgoers waiting in line to enter the 2004 Vans Warped Tour venue in Barrie, Ontario. No Warning is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto. History Early career and first two albums (1998–2003) The band was founded in 1998 under the name As We Once Were by singer Ben Cook, guitarist Matt Delong, bass player Christian Wylde and drummer Alan "Yeti" Riches. Jordan Posner joined soon after on second guitar and Riches was replaced by Kon Putkin on drums. As As We Once Were, they released two demos, both in 1998, and contributed an exclusive song to Redstar Records' 1999 Various Artists compilation ''The Sound and the Fury''. The band subsequently renamed itself No Warning. Their first release under that name was a three-song demo tape. They released their 7" on New York label Martyr Records in 2001. Prior to this album, Ben Cook contributed lead vocals to Cold Plays' original 2000 album. The Johnstones
The Johnstones was a ska punk band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada formed in 2002 and signed to the Union Label Group. In 2006, they signed to Stomp Records of Montreal, released the full-length album Word is Bond and began touring Canada and the U.S. Their video 'Gone for a Long Time' received 'buzz-worthy' status and gained heavy rotation on MuchMusic, staying on the charts for 8 weeks. In 2008, they released Sex, an E.P. produced by Flashlight Brown alumni Fil Bucchino and Matt Hughes. Ryan Long, Jarek Hardy along with 40-year-old Gary Kraft do a weekly podcast with thousands of listeners available free on iTunes. They are currently in the third season. Bedouin Soundclash is a Canadian band based in Toronto and consisting of vocalist and guitarist Jay Malinowski, bass player Eon Sinclair and drummer Chuck Treece.
