Oakenfold
Paul Mark Oakenfold (born 30 August 1963), formerly known mononymously as Oakenfold, is an English record producer, remixer and trance DJ. He has provided over 100 remixes for over 100 artists including U2, Moby, Madonna, Britney Spears, Massive Attack, the Cure, New Order, the Rolling Stones, the Stone Roses and Michael Jackson. Oakenfold was voted the No. 1 DJ in the World twice in 1998 and 1999 by ''DJ Magazine''. Biography Early life Oakenfold was born on 30 August 1963 at Mile End Hospital. Perfecto Records is a British Trance music, trance record label, founded by Paul Oakenfold in 1989. Perfecto was also a remix team consisting of Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and in its later years, Osborne was replaced by Andy Gray (musician), Andy Gray. Perfecto Records have provided remixes for U2, Moby, New Order (band), New Order, Rolling Stones, Simply Red and more. History Perfecto was founded by electronic music record producer and Disc Jockey, DJ Paul Oakenfold in 1989. Shifty Shellshock
Seth Brooks Binzer (born August 23, 1974), better known by his stage name Shifty Shellshock, is an American musician, best known for being a co-founder and front man of the rap rock band Crazy Town, known for their hit song "Butterfly". He has also had a solo music career and appeared in the reality television series ''Celebrity Rehab'' 1 and 2 and ''Sober House'' 1 and 2. Grace (band)
Grace was a 1990s British dance music act, consisting of the DJs Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and the jazz singer Dominique Atkins. The group's first single, "Not Over Yet" (originally released in 1993 and then again in 1995), had lead and backing vocals by the original frontwoman Patti Low. Atkins recorded her own lead vocals for "Not Over Yet" when it was included as the first track on the group's only album '' If I Could Fly''. History The group was initially named State of Grace, shortened to Grace following the discovery of another group of the same name. In existence from 1993 to 1997, the group served mainly to showcase Oakenfold and Osborne's production talents. Elementfour
Elementfour (variants Element Four and Element 4) was a music producing duo made up of DJ Paul Oakenfold and musician/composer Andy Gray. Sometime before July 2000, they collaborated in writing and producing the opening theme for the Channel 4 reality series '' Big Brother''. The theme, which was later released as a single, continued to be used when ''Big Brother'' and ''Celebrity Big Brother'' moved to Channel 5 from 18 August 2011 until the show was axed and ended on 5 November 2018. A sample from the track was used again in 2022 to promote the upcoming 2023 series on ITV2. Planet Perfecto
Planet Perfecto was a dance supergroup, formed in 1997 by Paul Oakenfold, Ian Masterson and Jake Williams. They were signed to Oakenfold's record label, Perfecto Records. Musical career Their first release was "Georgie Girl" on 12" vinyl in 1997; the single did not make it into the UK Singles Chart. However, their next track, "Not Over Yet '99", was more successful entering the UK chart at #16 in August 1999. They worked with a fourth producer, Matt Darey on the track, a remix/re-edit of "Not Over Yet" by Grace to create the track, which was to be the first of four hits for the group. Oakenfold had previously been a member of Grace. Before forming Planet Perfecto, all three producers had made their names in the dance music scene under different guises.
