''O Maior Brasileiro de Todos os Tempos'' (') was a public poll contest organized by the Brazilian broadcasting station Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão, SBT and hosted by Carlos Nascimento to rank the most outstanding Brazilian personalities. Based on BBC's ''100 Greatest Britons'', it featured individual documentaries advocating the top ten candidates. After three months of voting and more than a million votes recorded, one hundred persons were selected, appointed by the thousands of Brazilians. The final episode aired on October 3, 2012. Vital Brazil Mineiro da Campanha, known as Vital Brazil (April 28, 1865 – May 8, 1950), was a Brazilian physician, biomedical scientist and immunologist, known for the discovery of the polyvalent anti-ophidic serum used to treat bites of venomous snakes of the ''Crotalus'', ''Bothrops'' and '' Elaps'' genera. José Abelardo Barbosa de Medeiros (September 30, 1917 – June 30, 1988), better known as Chacrinha (), was a Brazilian comedian, radio and TV personality. His career was at its peak from 1950 to 1980. Ronald Golias (4 May 1929 – 27 September 2005) was a Brazilian comedian and actor. Biography Golias was born in the city of São Carlos, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and worked as a tailor assistant and insurance agent, amongst other professions. But, during the 1950s, he impressed Manoel de Nóbrega, who hired him to work as a comedian, both on TV and on the radio.
